1. Names
a) Invalid Name Format
Names that contain parts of sentences (except for guild names), badly formatted words or nonsensical combinations of letters.
b) Name Containing Forbidden Advertising
Names that advertise brands, services or other OT servers, content which is not related to the game or trades for real money.
c) Unsuitable Name
Names that imply the player as being a member of the Elythia staff while the same is not true, with the purpose of scamming other unaware players. Names such as 'Admin' or 'GM' and any other look-alikes are forbidden.
s) Name Supporting Rule Violation
Names that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Elythia Rules.
1. Statements
a) Offensive Statement
Intense and continuous insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable statements.
b) Spamming
Excessively repeating identical or similar statements or using badly formatted or nonsensical text.
c) Forbidden Advertising
Advertising brands, products or services of third parties as well as other OT servers, content which is not related to the game or trades for real money.
d) Violating Language Restriction
Non-English statements in boards and channels where the use of English is explicitly required.
e) Disclosing Personal Data of Others
Disclosing personal data and informations of other people.
f) Supporting Rule Violation
Statements that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Elythia Rules, supporting other players into committing rule violations.
3. Cheating
a) Bug Abuse
Exploiting obvious errors and weaknesses of the game in order to gain an unfair advantage, intentional blocking of certain zones from being accessible.
b) Using Unofficial Software to Play
Manipulating the client program or using additional software to play the game in order to gain an unfair advantage. Botting is prohibited and anyone caught using any bot of any kind will be warned, banned and deleted if the same offence keeps repeating multiple times.
c) Multiclienting
Multiclient is allowed under certain conditions (the client allows opening multiple instances). The use of multiclient is forbidden in situations where it offers an unfair advantage over other players such as blocking certain zones, PVPing or "Quest farming" for example.
4. Elythia staff
a) Pretending to be Elythia staff
Pretending to be a representative of Elythia staff or to have their legitimation or powers.
b) Slandering or Agitating against Elythia staff
Publishing clearly wrong information about or calling a boycott against Elythia.
c) False Information to Elythia staff
Intentionally giving wrong or misleading information to Elythia staff in reports about rule violations, complaints, bug reports or support requests.
5. Legal Issues
a) Account Buying and Selling
Selling or buying account data to/from other players on Elythia or cross-server trading.
b) Hacking
Stealing other players' account or personal data.
c) Attacking Elythia Server
Attacking, disrupting or damaging the operation of Elythia server.
d) Violating Law or Regulations
Violating any applicable law, the Elythia Service Agreement or rights of third parties.
Violating or attempting to violate the Elythia Rules may lead to a temporary account banishment. In severe cases the removal or modification of character skills, attributes and belongings, as well as the deletion of characters and accounts without any compensation may be considered. The punishments are based on the seriousness of the rule violation and the previous record of the player. It is determined at the sole discretion of Elythia staff and can be imposed without any previous warning. The staff may also delete, ban, do whatever they want with your account and your submitted information. (Including exposing and logging your IP).
These rules may be changed at any time. All changes will be announced on the Elythia website.
