Hunter Society Reforms & a Cyclops Set Right

A round of fixes and quality-of-life changes for the realm's hunters and quest-seekers.

The Hunter Societies Open Their Doors

Grizzly Adams in Port Hope and Badger Joe in Thais have both changed how they hand out hunting tasks. Previously, once you outgrew a tier of prey, those hunts were closed to you — a seasoned hunter could no longer take on the lesser beasts.

That restriction is gone. Hunters of any level may now accept any task, from the humblest crocodile to the mightiest demon. Whether you're clearing a bestiary, helping a friend, or simply enjoy the hunt, no task is off-limits because of your level anymore.

Note: the rank and points system is unchanged. You'll still earn Paw & Fur points and advance your rank as before — taking a lower-tier task above your rank simply rewards experience and a boss fight, just as it always did. Nothing about progression was made easier; the tasks are simply open to everyone now.

Koshei's Amulet — A Broken Quest Repaired

The Koshei the Deathless quest had a hidden flaw. After collecting the four amulet pieces and bringing them to A Sweaty Cyclops — paying his gold, waiting the long hours for his hammer to finish — the reassembled amulet worked in your hand, but Koshei himself would not recognise it. The final step was impossible, for every player.

This has been fixed. The Sweaty Cyclops now properly completes his part of the ritual, and returning the amulet to Koshei works as it always should have. The quest can now be finished from beginning to end.
